Ne îgiyebich îgoyakibi nâ the cheye chas

(About Us)

We are a non-profit society dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of the language and culture of the Iethka people in the First Nations of Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Good Stoney in Alberta, Canada

Enîkûbi nen nâgu dukten îkûgahesta owastejaga îgihnebiktach

(Wherever we are (in life and place) we increase the vibrancy of a thriving community)

Building upon our essential identity as Iethka people we can look to the related benefits of language revitalization which restore many aspects of the quality of our lives as individuals, families, and First Nations communities. These benefits can be seen in right across several key areas: cultural identity, mental health and wellbeing, physical health, social cohesion, educational outcomes and employment.
